Printing of Photographs for Personal Use
If you enjoy one of my pictures well enough to print it and
place it somewhere, go right ahead. Keep in mind that any
modification to the image is strictly prohibited, and the
copyright must stay on the image under penalty of law.
If you would like a museum-quality print from my original slides
or negatives, please visit the prints
page for information on ordering.
Non-Commercial Web Use of Photos
If you would like to place one of my photographs on your
personal or non-commercial web site, you may
use one of the small/thumbnail (192x128) sized images
only, and you must provide hyperlinked credit. Acceptable
That way people know who took the photograph, and also can come
to my site for my full copyright notice, and information on the
photographs courtesy <a
Commercial Web Use of Photos
If you would like to use one of my images on a commercial web
site, you must do the following:
You do not need to pay for usage, either, but I reserve the
right to refuse any site I do not wish to be associated with.
- Email me
requesting permission to use the photograph. Include within
your email the type of page, and reason you wish to use
- Add next to my image the hyperlinked credit, as explained
Use of Photos or Documents in Print (Commercial Usage)
If you wish to use one of my photographs in any public document,
over any medium (CD-Rom, magazine, etc.), your usage is not
covered by any of the above licenses, and you should send me
email with a proposal. The only exception to this is free
publications put out by non-commercial organizations; you can
use whatever you wish, as long as you contact me in advance, and
supply proper credit.
If there is any question as to the use of my photographs
then it is probably commercial use and it is best to contact
me by email describing what you wish to do.
